General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL1846) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human HRG, targeting the amino acid region 19–368 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human HRG from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This histidine-rich glycoprotein contains two cystatin-like domains and is located in plasma and platelets. The physiological function has not been determined but it is known that the protein binds heme, dyes and divalent metal ions. It can inhibit rosette formation and interacts with heparin, thrombospondin and plasminogen. Two of the proteins effects, the inhibition of fibrinolysis and the reduction of inhibition of coagulation, indicate a potential prothrombotic effect. Mutations in this gene lead to thrombophilia due to abnormal histidine-rich glycoprotein levels. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].
CABT-BL1846 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:5,000–1:50,000), IHC (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
CABT-BL1846 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
