General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL4866) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human HOMEZ, targeting the amino acid region 1–349 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human HOMEZ from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. HOMEZ (Homeobox and Leucine Zipper Encoding) is a transcription factor that contains both a homeobox DNA-binding domain and a leucine zipper–like region, enabling it to regulate gene expression through sequence-specific DNA binding and protein–protein interactions. As a nuclear protein, HOMEZ is thought to function in transcriptional regulation of developmental and differentiation-related genes, although its precise target genes and regulatory networks are not fully characterized. Homeobox-containing transcription factors are typically key regulators of embryonic development, cell fate specification, and tissue patterning, suggesting that HOMEZ may play roles in these fundamental biological processes. Expression data indicate that it is present across multiple tissues, with potential enrichment in specific developmental contexts. However, experimental evidence defining its exact biological functions remains limited, and much of its annotation is based on structural domain prediction and homology to other homeobox proteins.
CABT-BL4866 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:6,000), IHC (1:20–1:200), IF/ICC (1:50–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL4866 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
