General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL1822) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human HNRNPA3. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with HNRNPA3 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. HNRNPA3 is the gene symbol for the human gene encoding heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A3 (hnRNP A3), an RNA-binding protein belonging to the A/B subfamily of heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs), which are essential components of the spliceosome involved in pre-mRNA processing. The protein primarily localizes to the nucleus, where it facilitates mRNA splicing via the spliceosome and contributes to cytoplasmic RNA trafficking by binding to specific cis-acting response elements like A2RE. HNRNPA3 exhibits broad tissue expression, with notable levels in the brain, and has been implicated in cellular processes such as mitotic progression in neural progenitors and RNA metabolism disruptions in neurodegenerative diseases, including frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) with TDP-43 pathology.
CABT-BL1822 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:50–1:300) applications.
CABT-BL1822 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
