This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL1775) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human HERC2, targeting the amino acid region 169–335 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene belongs to the HERC gene family that encodes a group of unusually large proteins, which contain multiple structural domains. All members have at least 1 copy of an N-terminal region showing homology to the cell cycle regulator RCC1 and a C-terminal HECT (homologous to E6-AP C terminus) domain found in a number of E3 ubiquitin protein ligases. Genetic variations in this gene are associated with skin/hair/eye pigmentation variability. CABT-BL1775 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:200–1:800), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800) applications. CABT-BL1775 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
