General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL1747) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human HADHB, targeting the amino acid region 34–262 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human HADHB from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. HADHB, also named as TP- beta, Acetyl-CoA acyltransferase and Beta-ketothiolase, is a mitochondrial trifunctional enzyme subunit beta. Mitochondrial trifunctional enzyme catalyzes the last three of the four reactions of the mitochondrial beta-oxidation pathway. The mitochondrial beta-oxidation pathway is the major energy-producing process in tissues and is performed through four consecutive reactions breaking down fatty acids into acetyl-CoA. Among the enzymes involved in this pathway, the trifunctional enzyme exhibits specificity for long-chain fatty acids. Mitochondrial trifunctional enzyme is a heterotetrameric complex composed of two proteins, the trifunctional enzyme subunit alpha/HADHA carries the 2,3-enoyl-CoA hydratase and the 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase activities, while the trifunctional enzyme subunit beta/HADHB described here bears the 3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase activity. HADHB has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing with the MW of 49 kDa and 51 kDa.
CABT-BL1747 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:500–1:2,000) applications.
CABT-BL1747 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
