General Description

Filgrastim is a recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rhG-CSF) that is widely used to stimulate the proliferation, differentiation, and activation of neutrophil precursor cells. It is commonly applied in clinical settings to reduce the duration and severity of neutropenia associated with chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, or other conditions requiring neutrophil recovery.
As a therapeutic protein, Filgrastim requires accurate pharmacokinetic evaluation during drug development, biosimilar comparison, and preclinical or clinical studies. Measurement of Filgrastim concentrations in biological matrices such as serum or plasma is important for assessing systemic exposure, dose proportionality, clearance, and overall PK behavior.
