General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL4546) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ECHDC2, targeting the amino acid region 37–90 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ECHDC2 from rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ECHDC2 (Enoyl-CoA Hydratase Domain Containing 2) is a mitochondrial-associated protein that belongs to the enoyl-CoA hydratase–like superfamily, which is typically involved in fatty acid and intermediary metabolism. Although its exact enzymatic activity has not been fully characterized, ECHDC2 is thought to participate in metabolic processes related to acyl-CoA handling, potentially influencing mitochondrial energy metabolism and lipid utilization. It is localized primarily to mitochondria, consistent with a role in metabolic regulation or fatty acid processing pathways. Expression studies indicate that ECHDC2 is present across multiple tissues, suggesting a general metabolic function rather than a highly specialized role. However, its precise biochemical substrates, reaction mechanism, and physiological significance remain incompletely understood, and current functional annotations are largely based on domain homology and predictive analysis.
CABT-BL4546 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:6,000) application.
CABT-BL4546 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
