General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL4525) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human DNAJC6, targeting the amino acid region 387–733 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human DNAJC6 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. DNAJC6, also named AUXILIN, belongs to the evolutionarily conserved DNAJ/HSP40 family of proteins, which regulate molecular chaperone activity by stimulating ATPase activity. It is a neuronal protein that functions specifically in the pathway of clathrin-mediated endocytosis. It shares homology with GAK, and the two proteins act as cochaperones to support the HSC70 -dependent clathrin uncoating of clathrin-coated vesicles (PMID: 2016009). DNAJC6 is expressed in various brain regions, including cerebellum, corpus callosum, cortex, striatum, brainstem, pons, putamen, spinal cord and substantia nigra (PMID: 23211418).
CABT-BL4525 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:5,000–1:50,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:500–1:2,000), IF/ICC (1:50–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL4525 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
