General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL882) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human CCDC99, targeting the amino acid region 259–605 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. CCDC99 (Coiled-Coil Domain Containing 99) is a protein-coding gene that encodes a coiled-coil domain–rich protein, suggesting a primary role in mediating protein–protein interactions and organizing intracellular protein complexes. Although its exact biochemical function is not well characterized, proteins containing coiled-coil motifs are commonly involved in cytoskeletal organization, vesicular trafficking, signal transduction, and the assembly of multiprotein scaffolds. CCDC99 is predicted to localize within the cytoplasm or associate with specific subcellular structures, where it may contribute to maintaining cellular architecture or regulating signaling pathways. Expression data indicate that it is broadly expressed across tissues, but its functional specificity remains unclear. Overall, CCDC99 is considered a poorly characterized regulatory or structural protein, with its biological roles largely inferred from domain architecture and homology to other coiled-coil proteins.
CABT-BL882 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL882 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
