General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL870) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human CCDC71, targeting the amino acid region 207–449 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human CCDC71 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. CCDC71 (Coiled-Coil Domain Containing 71) encodes a protein characterized by coiled-coil structural motifs, which typically mediate protein–protein interactions and the assembly of multi-protein complexes. Although the precise biochemical function of CCDC71 is not well defined, coiled-coil domain proteins are commonly involved in cellular architecture, intracellular trafficking, and regulation of signaling pathways. CCDC71 is predicted to localize within the cytoplasm and potentially associate with cytoskeletal or membrane-proximal complexes. Expression profiling suggests that it is broadly expressed, though its functional specialization across tissues remains unclear. Some studies have hinted at possible roles in cell proliferation, differentiation, or disease-related processes such as tumor biology, but these associations are largely indirect and not yet experimentally validated. Overall, CCDC71 remains a poorly characterized gene, with functional insights primarily inferred from domain structure and homology to other coiled-coil proteins.
CABT-BL870 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL870 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
