General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL839) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human CAPN14. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Calpains are a family of cytosolic calcium-activated cysteine proteases involved in a variety of cellular processes including apoptosis, cell division, modulation of integrin-cytoskeletal interactions, and synaptic plasticity (Dear et al., 2000 [PubMed 10964513]). CAPN14 belongs to the calpain large subunit family.
CABT-BL839 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:50–1:100) applications.
CABT-BL839 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
