General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL575) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human C16orf61, targeting the amino acid region 1–79 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. C16ORF61 (Chromosome 16 Open Reading Frame 61) is a poorly characterized protein-coding gene that encodes a predicted intracellular protein with no well-defined functional domains or enzymatic motifs. Its molecular function remains largely unknown and is primarily inferred from sequence conservation and expression data. C16ORF61 is conserved across vertebrate species, suggesting that it may perform an evolutionarily conserved but as yet uncharacterized cellular role. Expression profiling indicates that it is broadly expressed at low to moderate levels across multiple tissues without clear tissue-specific enrichment. At present, there are no well-established biochemical pathways, interaction partners, or disease associations linked to C16ORF61, and it remains an open reading frame requiring further experimental investigation to define its biological function. CABT-BL575 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000) application. CABT-BL575 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
