General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL561) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human C15orf38, targeting the amino acid region 1–226 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human C15orf38 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. C15ORF38 (Chromosome 15 Open Reading Frame 38) is a poorly characterized protein-coding gene that encodes a predicted intracellular protein with no clearly defined functional domains or enzymatic motifs. As a result, its molecular function remains largely unknown and is inferred mainly from sequence conservation and expression profiling. C15ORF38 appears to be evolutionarily conserved across vertebrates, suggesting it may have a fundamental but not yet defined cellular role. Expression data indicate relatively broad tissue distribution, though without strong tissue specificity or clear functional enrichment. At present, there are no well-established biochemical pathways or disease associations linked to C15ORF38, and it remains an uncharacterized open reading frame requiring further experimental investigation to clarify its biological significance. CABT-BL561 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application. CABT-BL561 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
