General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-18296) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ZRANB2, targeting the amino acid region 1–241 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ZRANB2 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ZRANB2 is a protein-coding gene located on the short arm of human chromosome 1 at position 1p31.1 that encodes a zinc finger protein essential for pre-mRNA processing, particularly through its role in regulating alternative splicing. The protein, known as ZRANB2 or ZRAB2, features two N-terminal RanBP2-type zinc finger domains that enable binding to single-stranded RNA sequences such as 5'-AGGUAA-3', and a C-terminal arginine/serine (RS)-rich domain that facilitates interactions with spliceosomal components like U1-70K, U2AF35, and SRSF1. This structure allows ZRANB2 to function as a splicing factor within nuclear speckles and supraspliceosomes, influencing splice site selection in a dose-dependent manner and directly modulating exons in transcripts such as TRA2B (also known as SRSF10) and ECT2, with indirect effects on others like CD44 via altered TRA2B splicing. Recent studies (as of 2024) have shown that persulfidation and conformational flexibility of its zinc fingers modulate ZRANB2's RNA binding and alternative splicing activity.
DPABH-18296 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:6,000) application.
DPABH-18296 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
