This product (Catalog No. DPABH-04113) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human ZDHHC17. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with ZDHHC17 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by protein A. ZDHHC17 (Zinc Finger DHHC-Type Palmitoyltransferase 17) encodes a membrane-associated palmitoyl acyltransferase belonging to the DHHC family of protein S-acyltransferases. This enzyme catalyzes S-palmitoylation of substrate proteins, a reversible lipid modification that regulates protein membrane targeting, stability, and signaling activity. ZDHHC17 is highly expressed in neuronal tissues and plays key roles in synaptic function, vesicle trafficking, and cytoskeletal organization. It has been extensively studied for its interaction with huntingtin protein and is implicated in neurodegenerative disease mechanisms, particularly Huntington's disease, through regulation of neuronal protein localization and turnover.
DPABH-04113 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:50–1:200) applications.
DPABH-04113 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
