General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-20406) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human YRDC, targeting the amino acid region 56–279 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human YRDC from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. YRDC (YRDC Domain Containing) is a conserved protein involved in tRNA modification and translational fidelity. It is the human homolog of the bacterial YrdC protein and plays a key role in the biosynthesis of threonylcarbamoyladenosine (t6A), a universal tRNA modification found at position 37 adjacent to the anticodon. This modification is essential for accurate codon–anticodon pairing and efficient protein translation. YRDC functions as part of a multi-protein complex that catalyzes early steps in t6A formation, contributing to proper ribosome function and cellular protein synthesis. It is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm but may also have mitochondrial relevance, reflecting the importance of tRNA modification in both compartments. YRDC is broadly expressed across tissues, consistent with its fundamental role in translation, and its dysfunction may impact cellular growth and metabolic homeostasis.
DPABH-20406 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-20406 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
