General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-13234) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human WDR59, targeting the amino acid region 458–805 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human WDR59 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. WDR59 (WD Repeat Domain 59) is a protein-coding gene that encodes a scaffold protein containing multiple WD40 repeats, which typically form β-propeller structures mediating protein–protein interactions. WDR59 is a key component of the GATOR2 (GAP Activity Toward Rags 2) complex, which plays an important role in regulating the mTORC1 signaling pathway in response to nutrient availability. Through its involvement in GATOR2, WDR59 contributes to amino acid sensing, cellular growth control, and metabolic regulation by modulating the activity of Rag GTPases and mTORC1 activation. It is broadly expressed across tissues, consistent with its role in fundamental cellular metabolism. Dysregulation of mTOR signaling components, including WDR59, has been implicated in cancer and metabolic diseases, highlighting its importance in growth and nutrient-sensing pathways.
DPABH-13234 is suitable for use in IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate) application.
DPABH-13234 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
