General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DPABH-26390) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human VEGFB, targeting the amino acid region 121–188 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with VEGFB from rat, mouse, pig, cow, horse, and guineapig. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a member of the PDGF (platelet-derived growth factor)/VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) family. The VEGF family members regulate the formation of blood vessels and are involved in endothelial cell physiology. This member is a ligand for VEGFR-1 (vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1) and NRP-1 (neuropilin-1). Studies in mice showed that this gene was co-expressed with nuclear-encoded mitochondrial genes and the encoded protein specifically controlled endothelial uptake of fatty acids. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
DPABH-26390 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
DPABH-26390 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
