General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-02966) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human USH1G. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with USH1G from mouse. It has been affinity purified by protein A. USH1G is a protein-coding gene located on the long arm of human chromosome 17 at position 17q25.1, encoding the scaffold protein known as SANS (USH1 protein network component sans), which contains three ankyrin repeat domains, a sterile alpha motif (SAM), and a class I PDZ-binding motif essential for protein-protein interactions. This protein plays a critical role in the development and maintenance of stereocilia bundles in cochlear and vestibular hair cells of the inner ear, as well as in the connecting cilia of retinal photoreceptors, facilitating the cohesion of the USH1 protein complex that includes harmonin (encoded by USH1C). Additionally, SANS contributes to pre-mRNA splicing regulation by influencing the release and transfer of the U4/U6.U5 tri-small nuclear ribonucleoprotein complex.
DPABH-02966 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:50–1:200) applications.
DPABH-02966 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
