This product (Catalog No. DPABH-26475) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human UGT8. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with UGT8 from rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the UDP-glycosyltransferase family. It catalyzes the transfer of galactose to ceramide, a key enzymatic step in the biosynthesis of galactocerebrosides, which are abundant sphingolipids of the myelin membrane of the central and peripheral nervous systems. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. DPABH-26475 is suitable for use in WB 1 (1000-3000), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications. DPABH-26475 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
