TTLL6 is apolyglutamylase which preferentially modifies alpha-tubulin. It is involved in the side-chain elongation step of the polyglutamylation reaction rather than in the initiation step. TTLL6 contains one TTL domain and two isoforms produced by alternative splicing have been identified.
