General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-20903) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TMEM72, targeting the amino acid region 120–275 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human TMEM72 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TMEM72 is a protein-coding gene located on the long arm of human chromosome 10 at position 10q11.21, encoding a transmembrane protein also known as the kidney-specific secretory protein of 37 kDa (KSP37). This protein features multiple transmembrane domains and ER export signals that facilitate its localization to the plasma membrane, contributing to cellular processes such as protein interactions within the human interactome. Expression of TMEM72 is predominantly biased toward the kidney, with lower levels observed in tissues like the colon, suggesting a specialized role in renal function, though its precise physiological contributions remain under investigation. Emerging research has explored potential links between TMEM72 and clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), where its expression patterns and structural characteristics may serve as classifiers for tumor etiology, highlighting its relevance in kidney-related pathologies.
DPABH-20903 is suitable for use in IHC (1:50–1:500) application.
DPABH-20903 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
