General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-20420) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TMEM61, targeting the amino acid region 1–210 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TMEM61 (Transmembrane Protein 61) is a poorly characterized multi-pass transmembrane protein that is broadly expressed in human tissues. It is predicted to localize to cellular membranes, likely the plasma membrane or intracellular organelles, where it may participate in membrane-associated signaling or transport processes. Although its precise biochemical function remains unknown, TMEM61 is thought to belong to a group of small transmembrane proteins that contribute to maintaining membrane integrity, protein complex assembly, or receptor regulation. Genomic studies have occasionally linked variation near TMEM61 to traits associated with cardiovascular and metabolic phenotypes, suggesting a potential indirect role in systemic physiology, though these associations are not yet mechanistically defined. Overall, TMEM61 remains an uncharacterized gene, with functional insights largely inferred from bioinformatic predictions and expression profiling rather than direct experimental validation.
DPABH-20420 is suitable for use in IHC (1:50–1:500) application.
DPABH-20420 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
