General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-22792) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TMEM40, targeting the amino acid region 1–129 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TMEM40 (Transmembrane Protein 40) is a multi-pass transmembrane protein with limited functional characterization in current biological literature. It is predicted to localize to cellular membranes, where it may participate in membrane-associated processes such as signaling, transport, or structural organization of membrane protein complexes. Like many TMEM family members, TMEM40 lacks well-defined enzymatic domains, suggesting a role as a structural or regulatory component rather than a catalytic enzyme. Expression analyses indicate that TMEM40 is broadly expressed across multiple tissues, although its tissue-specific functions remain unclear. At present, there is no well-established biochemical pathway or disease mechanism directly linked to TMEM40, and its biological role is primarily inferred from sequence conservation and computational predictions.
DPABH-22792 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:8,000) application.
DPABH-22792 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
