General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-13315) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TMEM199, targeting the amino acid region 1–208 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human TMEM199 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TMEM199 (Transmembrane Protein 199) is a multi-pass transmembrane protein localized primarily to the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, where it plays an important role in protein glycosylation processes. It is a key component of the vacuolar H⁺-ATPase (V-ATPase) assembly machinery, which is essential for acidifying intracellular compartments. TMEM199 functions in conjunction with other assembly factors to ensure proper V-ATPase biogenesis, which in turn is critical for Golgi acidification and normal glycosylation of secreted and membrane proteins. Loss-of-function mutations in TMEM199 have been associated with congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG), characterized by defects in protein processing and multisystem clinical manifestations. Overall, TMEM199 is an essential regulator of intracellular organelle function and protein maturation through its role in V-ATPase assembly and Golgi homeostasis.
DPABH-13315 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:20–1:200) applications.
DPABH-13315 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
