General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-18513) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TMEM117, targeting the amino acid region 202–410 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TMEM117 (transmembrane protein 117) is a small membrane-associated protein encoded by a human gene that is expressed in multiple tissues. Although it lacks extensive structural characterization, TMEM117 is predicted to contain one or more transmembrane domains, suggesting localization to cellular membranes such as the plasma membrane or intracellular compartments. Emerging evidence indicates that TMEM117 may be involved in the regulation of cell survival and apoptosis, with some studies linking its activity to stress responses and cell death pathways. In particular, TMEM117 has been associated with modulation of signaling cascades such as the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, implying a potential role in controlling cell proliferation and survival. However, its precise molecular mechanisms and interacting partners remain incompletely defined and require further investigation.
DPABH-18513 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000) application.
DPABH-18513 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
