General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-20554) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human THADA, targeting the amino acid region 59–400 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human THADA from mouse, rat, and hamster. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene contains more than thirty transmembrane domains and likely functions as part of mechanically-activated (MA) cation channels. These channels serve to connect mechanical forces to biological signals. The encoded protein quickly adapts MA currents in somatosensory neurons. Defects in this gene are a cause of type 5 distal arthrogryposis. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but their full-length nature is not known.
DPABH-20554 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:20–1:200), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800) applications.
DPABH-20554 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
