General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-23575) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SSU72, targeting the amino acid region 14–194 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human SSU72 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SSU72 (RNA Polymerase II CTD Phosphatase) is a highly conserved nuclear phosphatase that plays a central role in transcription regulation and mRNA 3′ end processing. It specifically dephosphorylates the C-terminal domain (CTD) of RNA polymerase II at serine residues, a critical step required for transcription termination and recycling of the polymerase for subsequent rounds of transcription. SSU72 also coordinates pre-mRNA cleavage and polyadenylation by interacting with components of the transcription machinery and RNA processing complexes, thereby coupling transcription termination with mRNA maturation. It is ubiquitously expressed across tissues, reflecting its essential role in fundamental gene expression processes. Disruption of SSU72 function can impair transcriptional fidelity, RNA processing, and genome stability, highlighting its importance in maintaining proper cellular homeostasis.
DPABH-23575 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-23575 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
