General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19051) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human STOML3, targeting the amino acid region 98–291 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human STOML3 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. STOML3 (Stomatin Like 3) is a member of the stomatin family of membrane-associated proteins that are enriched in lipid raft microdomains of the plasma membrane. It is predominantly expressed in sensory neurons, particularly in dorsal root ganglia, where it plays a key role in mechanosensation. STOML3 modulates the activity and sensitivity of mechanotransduction ion channels, such as PIEZO channels, thereby influencing the detection of mechanical stimuli including touch and pressure. Functionally, it acts as a regulatory scaffold that affects channel gating properties and membrane excitability rather than forming channels itself. STOML3 has been implicated in sensory adaptation, neuropathic pain mechanisms, and peripheral nerve regeneration following injury. Dysregulation or loss of STOML3 function can lead to altered mechanical sensitivity and impaired tactile perception.
DPABH-19051 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
DPABH-19051 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
