General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03383) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human STAG1, targeting the amino acid region 880–1221 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human STAG1 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. STAG1, also named as SCC3 homolog 1, is a 1258 amino acid protein, which belongs to the SCC3 family. STAG1 interacts directly with RAD21 in cohesin complex and localizes in nucleus. STAG1 is a Component of cohesin complex, which is required for the cohesion of sister chromatids after DNA replication. The cohesin complex apparently forms a large proteinaceous ring within which sister chromatids can be trapped. At anaphase, the complex is cleaved and dissociates from chromatin, allowing sister chromatids to segregate. The cohesin complex may also play a role in spindle pole assembly during mitosis. The calculate molecular weight of STAG1 is 144 kDa, but modified STAG1 is about 145-150 kDa.
DPABH-03383 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IHC (1:200–1:1,000) applications.
DPABH-03383 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
