This product (Catalog No. DPABH-11176) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ST6GAL2, targeting the amino acid region 22–200 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ST6GAL2 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Transfers sialic acid from the donor of substrate CMP-sialic acid to galactose containing acceptor substrates. Has alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase activity toward oligosaccharides that have the Gal-beta-1,4-GlcNAc sequence at the non-reducing end of their carbohydrate groups, but it has weak or no activities toward glycoproteins and glycolipids. DPABH-11176 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:300–1:800) application. DPABH-11176 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
