General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-14896) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SP140L, targeting the amino acid region 1–129 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The SP140 nuclear body protein like (SP140L), encoded by the SP140L gene (Gene ID: 93349) on human chromosome 2q37.1, is a member of the speckled protein (SP) family, closely related to SP100, SP110, and SP140. It shares structural domains including a homogeneously staining region (HSR), a SAND domain for DNA binding, a plant homeodomain (PHD) zinc finger, and a bromodomain for recognizing acetylated histones, positioning it as a potential chromatin reader similar to its paralogs. SP140L is expressed in leukocytes and immune cells, with alternative splicing producing multiple isoforms; the longest cloned isoform encodes a 555-amino-acid protein.
DPABH-14896 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate) applications.
DPABH-14896 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
