This product (Catalog No. DPABH-25830) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SON, targeting the amino acid region 14–182 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human SON from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SON, also called C21orf50 and DBP5, is a nuclear speckle-localized protein that shares homology with pre-mRNA splicing accessory factors (PMID: 10950926). It is an RNA-binding protein that acts as an mRNA splicing cofactor by promoting efficient splicing of transcripts that possess weak splice sites, and specifically promotes splicing of many cell-cycle and DNA-repair transcripts that possess weak splice sites, such as TUBG1, KATNB1, TUBGCP2, AURKB, PCNT, AKT1, RAD23A, and FANCG (PMID: 20581448; 21504830).
DPABH-25830 is suitable for use in IHC (1:4,000–1:16,000) application.
DPABH-25830 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
