General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-26338) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SOCS1, targeting the amino acid region 60–211 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 (SOCS1) is a cytoplasmic protein encoded by the SOCS1 gene on human chromosome 16, functioning as a key negative feedback regulator of cytokine signaling, primarily by inhibiting the Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription (JAK/STAT) pathway to prevent excessive immune responses. Discovered independently in 1997 by three research groups as a suppressor of interleukin-6 signaling, a JAK-binding protein, and a STAT inhibitor, SOCS1 was identified as the founding member of the SOCS family of proteins.
DPABH-26338 is suitable for use in ELISA, IHC, Western blot (WB) applications.
DPABH-26338 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
