This product (Catalog No. DPABH-04846) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SMNDC1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with SMNDC1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene is a paralog of SMN1 gene, which encodes the survival motor neuron protein, mutations in which are cause of autosomal recessive proximal spinal muscular atrophy. The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear protein that has been identified as a constituent of the spliceosome complex. This gene is differentially expressed, with abundant levels in skeletal muscle, and may share similar cellular function as the SMN1 gene. DPABH-04846 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application. DPABH-04846 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
