General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-28969) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SLC6A11, targeting the amino acid region 1–208 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human SLC6A11 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SLC6A11 (Solute Carrier Family 6 Member 11), also known as GAT3 (GABA transporter 3), is a sodium- and chloride-dependent neurotransmitter transporter primarily responsible for the reuptake of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) from the synaptic cleft into neurons and glial cells. It belongs to the SLC6 family of high-affinity neurotransmitter transporters and plays a key role in regulating inhibitory synaptic transmission in the central nervous system. By controlling extracellular GABA concentrations, SLC6A11 modulates neuronal excitability, synaptic strength, and overall network inhibition. It is predominantly expressed in the brain, especially in astrocytes, where it contributes to termination of GABAergic signaling and maintenance of neurotransmitter homeostasis. Dysregulation of SLC6A11 has been implicated in neurological conditions such as epilepsy, anxiety disorders, and other neuropsychiatric diseases due to altered inhibitory signaling balance.
DPABH-28969 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:200–1:800) applications.
DPABH-28969 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
