General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-06578) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SLC5A6, targeting the amino acid region 551–635 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human SLC5A6 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SLC5A6, also known as the sodium-dependent multivitamin transporter (hSMVT), is a transmembrane protein that plays a crucial role in the uptake of essential vitamins, including biotin, pantothenic acid, and lipoic acid. This protein is widely expressed in various human tissues, including the placenta, intestine, brain, liver, lung, kidney, cornea, retina, and heart. It uses energy from the transmembrane sodium ion gradient and membrane potential to actively transport these vitamins into cells. Due to different glycosylation modifications, SLC5A6 may exhibit two bands at ~55 kDa and ~69 kDa. (PMID: 20980265, PMID: 25971966).
DPABH-06578 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate) applications.
DPABH-06578 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
