This product (Catalog No. DPABH-08616) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SLC16A8. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SLC16A8, also known as MCT3 (Monocarboxylate Transporter 3), is a protein encoded by the SLC16A8 gene that functions as a specialized, high-affinity proton-coupled transporter, primarily moving lactate and other monocarboxylates across cell membranes. It is specifically expressed in the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and the choroid plexus, playing a crucial role in maintaining retinal metabolic and ionic homeostasis.
DPABH-08616 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:200–1:1,000), IHC (1:25–1:100) applications.
DPABH-08616 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
