This product (Catalog No. DPABH-21798) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SERPINB1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with SERPINB1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the serpin family of proteinase inhibitors. Members of this family maintain homeostasis by neutralizing overexpressed proteinase activity through their function as suicide substrates. This protein inhibits the neutrophil-derived proteinases neutrophil elastase, cathepsin G, and proteinase-3 and thus protects tissues from damage at inflammatory sites. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. DPABH-21798 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:50–1:200), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:20–1:100) applications. DPABH-21798 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide,50% glycerol,pH7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
