General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-00802) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SDHA, targeting the amino acid region 44–664 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SDHA (Succinate Dehydrogenase Complex Flavoprotein Subunit A) is a nuclear-encoded gene located on chromosome 5p15.33 that provides instructions for producing the flavoprotein subunit A of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH), the largest subunit of mitochondrial complex II. This enzyme complex, also known as succinate-ubiquinone oxidoreductase (EC 1.3.5.1), plays a central role in both the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle and the electron transport chain by catalyzing the oxidation of succinate to fumarate while transferring electrons to ubiquinone. The SDHA protein consists of 621 amino acids with a molecular mass of approximately 68 kDa and exhibits high homology to its bovine counterpart, enabling it to bind flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) as a cofactor essential for its catalytic activity.
DPABH-00802 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-00802 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
