This product (Catalog No. DPABH-23070) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human RPS8. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with RPS8 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by protein A. 40S ribosomal protein S8 (RPS8), also known as eukaryotic ribosomal protein eS8, is a conserved protein that forms a core structural element of the small 40S subunit in eukaryotic ribosomes. Encoded by the RPS8 gene located on human chromosome 1p34.1, it belongs to the S8E family of ribosomal proteins and consists of 206 amino acids, featuring a conserved domain essential for ribosomal assembly and function. This protein is ubiquitously expressed across human tissues, with particularly high levels in the ovary and bone marrow, and plays a critical role in the cytoplasm by facilitating mRNA decoding, tRNA binding, and the overall process of protein synthesis within the ribosome.
DPABH-23070 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:50–1:200) applications.
DPABH-23070 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
