General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-25066) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human RPS6KB1, targeting the amino acid region 91–352 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human RPS6KB1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. P70-S6 Kinase 1 (p70S6K1), encoded by the RPS6KB1 gene, is a serine/threonine protein kinase belonging to the AGC kinase family that functions as a critical downstream effector of the mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) signaling pathway. It primarily regulates ribosomal biogenesis and protein synthesis by phosphorylating substrates such as the 40S ribosomal protein S6 and eukaryotic initiation factor 4B (eIF4B), thereby promoting mRNA translation initiation, elongation, and overall cellular growth. Discovered in the 1990s as a kinase sensitive to the immunosuppressant rapamycin, p70S6K1 plays essential roles in integrating nutrient, energy, and growth factor signals to control cell proliferation, cell cycle progression, and metabolism.
DPABH-25066 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-25066 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
