This product (Catalog No. DPABH-04814) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human RPS2, targeting the amino acid region 64–250 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. 40S ribosomal protein S2 (RPS2), also known as uS5, is a key structural component of the eukaryotic 40S ribosomal subunit, which forms part of the ribosome responsible for translating messenger RNA into proteins during protein synthesis. Encoded by the human RPS2 gene located on the short arm of chromosome 16 (16p13.3), this protein belongs to the S5P family of ribosomal proteins and exhibits high sequence similarity to its counterparts in other eukaryotes, such as the mouse LLRep3 protein. RPS2 is ubiquitously expressed across human tissues, with particularly high levels in the ovary and bone marrow, reflecting its fundamental role in cellular translation machinery.
DPABH-04814 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:300), Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) applications.
DPABH-04814 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
