RNF41 contains one RING-type zinc finger, a motif present in a variety of functionally distinct proteins and known to be involved in protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions. It acts as E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase and regulates the degradation of target proteins, such as ERBB3. RNF41 has been detected in ovary, testis and prostate.
