General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-20060) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human RGS22, targeting the amino acid region 250–499 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human RGS22 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. RGS22 (Regulator of G protein Signaling 22) is a member of the RGS protein family, which functions as a key modulator of G protein–coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling. RGS proteins accelerate the intrinsic GTPase activity of Gα subunits, thereby promoting the inactivation of G proteins and terminating downstream signaling pathways. Through this mechanism, RGS22 acts as a negative regulator of GPCR-mediated signal transduction. RGS22 is primarily expressed in specific tissues, with notable enrichment in the testis and other reproductive-related tissues, suggesting a potential role in spermatogenesis or reproductive cell signaling. Although its precise physiological functions remain incompletely characterized, it is thought to contribute to the fine-tuning of hormonal and neurotransmitter signaling pathways that depend on GPCR activity. Emerging studies in the RGS family also suggest possible involvement in cancer biology, where altered RGS expression can affect cell proliferation, migration, and tumor progression, but direct functional evidence for RGS22 remains limited.
DPABH-20060 is suitable for use in IHC: 1:50-1:500 application.
DPABH-20060 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
