General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-04790) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human REXO4, targeting the amino acid region 71–422 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human REXO4 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. REXO4, officially known as RNA exonuclease 4, is a protein-coding gene in humans (Gene ID: 57109) that encodes a 3'-5' exonuclease protein with DEDDh domain activity, primarily involved in DNA catabolic processes and DNA repair. Located on chromosome 9q34.2, the gene spans 9 exons and produces isoforms that enable DNA binding and nuclease activity, contributing to the degradation of single-stranded DNA and RNA substrates. The encoded protein is ubiquitously expressed across human tissues, with highest levels detected in the ovary and testis, and is localized to nuclear structures such as the nucleolus, nuclear speckles, and nucleoplasm. Functionally, REXO4 plays a role in cellular maintenance by repairing estrogen-induced abasic sites in DNA and regulating transcription of genes like quinone reductase through its exonuclease activity. It has also been implicated in cell cycle progression, where depletion leads to G1/S phase arrest, highlighting its necessity for proliferation in normal and cancerous cells. In disease contexts, REXO4 is overexpressed in various cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), where it promotes tumor cell proliferation, invasion, and poor prognosis; for instance, high REXO4 expression correlates with advanced HCC stages and reduced patient survival. Additionally, genetic variants in REXO4 networks have been associated with congenital conditions like bicuspid aortic valve, underscoring its broader implications in developmental and oncogenic pathways.
DPABH-04790 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000), IHC (1:20–1:200), IF/ICC (1:400–1:1,600) applications.
DPABH-04790 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
