General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-21530) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human RECQL5, targeting the amino acid region 11–218 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. RECQL5 (RecQ like helicase 5) is a member of the RecQ family of ATP-dependent DNA helicases, often referred to as "genome caretakers" due to their critical roles in maintaining genomic stability. RECQL5 unwinds DNA in a 3′→5′ direction and functions in the regulation of DNA replication, transcription, and DNA repair. It suppresses inappropriate homologous recombination by modulating RAD51 filament formation and helps prevent transcription–replication conflicts through interaction with RNA polymerase II. Unlike some other RecQ helicases, RECQL5 deficiency does not cause a defined hereditary syndrome, but loss of function has been associated with increased chromosomal instability and cancer susceptibility. Overall, RECQL5 acts as an important regulator of genome integrity by coordinating DNA metabolic processes and limiting aberrant recombination events.
DPABH-21530 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-21530 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
