General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-10778) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human RASAL1, targeting the amino acid region 451–550 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with RASAL1 from rat, mouse, dog, horse, and rabbit. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is member of the GAP1 family of GTPase-activating proteins. These proteins stimulate the GTPase activity of normal RAS p21 but not its oncogenic counterpart. Acting as a suppressor of RAS function, the protein enhances the weak intrinsic GTPase activity of RAS proteins resulting in the inactive GDP-bound form of RAS, thereby allowing control of cellular proliferation and differentiation. This particular family member contains domains which are characteristic of the GAP1 subfamily of RasGAP proteins but, in contrast to the other GAP1 family members, this protein is strongly and selectively expressed in endocrine tissues. Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been described.
DPABH-10778 is suitable for use in IHC-P (1:400–1:800), IHC-F (1:400–1:800), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:100–1:500) applications.
DPABH-10778 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
