General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-22561) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human RAB3B, targeting the amino acid region 1–219 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human RAB3B from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. RAB3B is a human gene located on the short arm of chromosome 1 at position 1p32.3, encoding a small GTPase protein known as Ras-related protein Rab-3B, which belongs to the Rab subfamily of the Ras oncogene superfamily. This protein functions as a key regulator of intracellular membrane trafficking, particularly in the formation, transport, and fusion of vesicles during exocytosis. The RAB3B protein has a molecular weight of approximately 25 kDa and features a conserved GTPase fold structure, consisting of six α-helices surrounding seven β-strands, enabling its GTP-binding and hydrolysis activities essential for cycling between active (GTP-bound) and inactive (GDP-bound) states. It interacts with effectors such as myosin V and is involved in processes like the regulation of synaptic vesicle cycles and positive modulation of dopamine uptake in synaptic transmission. Expression of RAB3B is prominent in neural tissues, including the brain, as well as endocrine glands, prostate, and gastrointestinal enteroendocrine cells, reflecting its roles in both neuronal signaling and hormone secretion.
DPABH-22561 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:6,000), IHC (1:50–1:500), IF/ICC (1:20–1:200), flow cytometry (FC) (0.25 μg per 10^6 cells in a 100 μl suspension) applications.
DPABH-22561 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
