General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-01893) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human POLR1A, targeting the amino acid region 438–628 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. POLR1A is a protein-coding gene that encodes RNA polymerase I subunit A (RPA1), the largest and catalytic core component of RNA polymerase I, an enzyme complex responsible for transcribing ribosomal RNA (rRNA) precursor genes in eukaryotic cells. This subunit forms the catalytic center of the polymerase, utilizing DNA as a template and ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates to synthesize pre-rRNA, which is essential for ribosome biogenesis and cellular protein synthesis. The POLR1A gene is located on the short arm of human chromosome 2 at position 2p11.2, spanning approximately 85 kb with 34 exons, and it exhibits ubiquitous expression across tissues, with particularly high levels in the testis and endometrium.
DPABH-01893 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-01893 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
